Single crochet (sc)

The single crochet stitch is worked the same way whether it is worked in a foundation chain or in previouslay worked rows or rounds.

Follow instructions in your pattern to know where to make your stitch. It could be the next stitch on your work, or another one. If you are working in a starting chain, you will most likely work your single crochet in the second chain from the hook.

  • Step 1

    Insert your hook under both loops, unless indicated otherwise.

  • Step 2

    Yarn over and pull up a loop.

  • Look after step 2

  • Step 3

    Yarn over once again and pull the yarn through both loops on your hook.
